Bhāgavata-Uttamaḥ
As an answer to the question of Nimi the king of Videha; yogi Śrī Hari highlights the properties of bhāgavata-uttaman. The following verse is from Śrīmad Bhāgavadam [11.2.45].
श्री हरिर्उवाच:
सर्वभूतेषु यः पश्येद् भगवद्भावम् आत्मनः
भूतानि भगवत्य् आत्मन्य् एष भागवतोत्तमः । भा.पु
śrī-harir uvāca:
sarva-bhūteṣu yaḥ paśyed
bhagavad-bhāvam ātmanaḥ .
bhūtāni bhagavaty ātmany
eṣa bhāgavata-uttamaḥ .
bhāgavada-uttama is one who sees the divine self in all living beings and all living beings in the divine self.
śrī-haviḥ uvāca = Śrī Harir said; sarva-bhūteṣu = in all living beings; yaḥ = whoever; paśyet = sees; bhagavat-bhāvam = divine nature (self); ātmanaḥ = of the self; bhūtāni = all beings; bhagavati = the divine; ātmani = self; eṣaḥ — that (self); bhāgavata-uttamaḥ — most elevated one.
This is the very core message of Veda, Vedānta (Upaniṣads), Bhagavad Gītā and Vaḷḷuva Gītā (Tirukkuraḷ). [Refer also: Kaivalya Upaniṣad ver.10; Bhagavad Gītā ver.6.29, ver.18.20; Kuraḷ 30]
